Resumo: | This theoretical-reflective study aims to investigate the construction of versions of masculinities from a reading of the novel Grande sertão: veredas, by Guimarães Rosa. For that, we resort to the concepts of hegemonic masculinity, proposed by Connell, and performativity, elaborated by Butler. The research covers three ordering axes: 1) a brief exposition on the approaches to masculinities, rescuing their genesis in the feminist theories that inaugurated the gender studies; 2) the processes of genderfication in the perspective of the construction of rural masculinity; 3) presentation of a reading of the relationship between Riobaldo and Diadorim. We emphasize that gender does not subsume a substance, although it reproduces substantial effects, perceived in different versions of hegemonic masculinity performed by the gang of jagunços personified in the Rosian epic. |

Para ello, recurrimos a los conceptos de masculinidad hegemónica, propuestos por Connell, y de performatividad, elaborados por Butler. La investigación sigue tres ejes de ordenamiento: 1) una breve exposición sobre los abordajes en las masculinidades, rescatando su génesis en las teorías feministas que inauguraron los estudios de género; 2) procesos de generación en la perspectiva de la construcción de la masculinidad rural; 3) presentación de una lectura de la relación entre Riobaldo y Diadorim. Destacamos que el género no subsume una sustancia, aunque reproduce efectos sustanciales, percibidos en diferentes versiones de la masculinidad hegemónica realizada por la banda de jagunços personificada en la épica rosiana.Neste estudo teórico-reflexivo, nos propomos a investigar a construção de versões demasculinidades rurais a partir de uma leitura do romance Grande sertão: veredas, de Guimarães Rosa. Para tanto, recorremos aos conceitos de masculinidade hegemônica, propostos por Connell, e performatividade, elaborado por Butler. A pesquisa percorre três eixos ordenadores: 1) uma breve exposição sobre as abordagens em masculinidades, resgatando sua gênese nas teorias feministas que inauguraram os estudos de gênero; 2) os processos de generificação na perspectiva da construção da masculinidade rural; 3) uma leitura da relação entre Riobaldo e Diadorim.
