Resumo: An accompaniment of a population of Drosera brevifolia was realized in a sand dune slack. Four zones of different altitudes and soil humidity were selected to study, in which periodically census were realized in 20 permanent plots of 10cm x 10cm. A great reduction of pluviosity was registered in the winter of 1988 (year of study), which caused a massive mortality of the individuals. A reduction in the number of individuals from the dry zone to the wetter zones created a "displacement" of droseras to the center of the lake, as the water table reduced. D. brevifolia presented an aggregated pattern of distribution in each zone. It is discussed the influence of soil humidity and vegetation cover in the determination of the occurence of individuals. A peak of flowering was observed in summer and the probability of a plant to flower is correlated to the diameter of its foliar basal rosette.

Foram feitos censos periódicos em 20 quadrados permanentes de 10cm x 10cm em 4 zonas distintas quanto à altitude e à umidade do solo. O ano de estudo, 1988, mostou uma acentuada restrição de pluviosidade no inverno, acarretando mortalidade maciça dos indivíduos. Ocorreu uma redução no número de indivíduos presentes, das áreas mais secas para as mais úmidas, gerando como que um "deslocamento" das dróseras para o centro do lado, em função da redução do nível do lençol freático. Em cada zona de estudo, o padrão de distribuição espacial de D. brevifolia mostou-se agrupado. Discute-se o papel da umidade do solo e da cobertura vegetal associada na determinação da ocorrência dos indivíduos.
