Analysis of scientific production on university archives indexed on the BRAPCI base

This study analyzes the scientific production of university archives indexed in the BRAPCI database, from 2007 to 2017. The objective is to present the institutions, the preferred communication channels of the authors who published on the subject and the works that stood out in quotes. The research corpus is composed by 10 articles. The methodological procedure employed was bibliometry. As a result, it was found that the most productive years were 2015 and 2017, with two publications in each year. The most productive institution was UDESC (32%), followed by UNESP/Marília (23%). Ágora magazine and ENANCIB presented the largest number of publications, with two articles each. The most referenced works were Law n° 8.159, dated January 8, 1991, also known as the Law of Archives, with six citations and the article "Management of documents in University Archives: case study in the Central Archive of FAED/UDESC", with five citations. It´s concluded that the Brazilian scientific production about university archives is still small in the field of Information Science. This demonstrates the importance of a deepening, and more reflections, studies and publications on the subject, considering the existence of this gap.
