Mental health in adolescence: proposal of authorial teaching unit in Spanish Language for Senior High School Students

In this study, we present a proposal for authorial teaching material (ATM), in the format of an authorial teaching unit (ATU), with a focus on the topic of Mental Health in adolescence. The target audience, to which the ATM was directed, includes Spanish language students in the third year of high school. For the preparation of the ATM, the steps proposed by Leffa (2007) were followed and, in addition, a series of sustaining sources was taken as a basis (pilot study, integrative and documental review and theoretical foundation), which empirically and theoretically supported its production. Based on the production of the ATU, we conclude that the ATM has an empirical bias and a theoretical basis and can provide contributions to the Spanish language classes.
