Resumo: Empathies some aspects of the interpretation made by Paul Ricoeur in Time and Narrative, Aristotle's Poetics. Taking as a guide the fact that the literary genre favored by Ricoeur is the novel, not the tragedy, we take as starting point a passage from War and Peace, by Tolstoy, in order to emphasize the role of the Aristotelian concept of persuasive in the hermeneutics of the narrative experience proposed by Ricoeur, associating it with the discussion on the subject of the reference in fictional texts.
