Summary: This paper presents a master's research clipping on the application of eco design for the development of new boats. Based on the challenges presented by the Brazilian nautical sector and environmental problems arising from its production process, the objective was to develop a 16-feet product platform system based on ecodesign concepts. For this, the applied methodology provided a bibliographical research, a product diagnosis (of market research) and the project development. As a result, a 16-feet modular platform system was obtained, which allowed the creation of three models (amateur fishing, nautical sports, recreational), in different applications and use, considering the needs of the Brazilian nautical market.
