O objetivo principal foi o de conhecer as relações estabelecidas entre um bebê entrante e sua família que ingressam na creche em um grupo já constituído. Analisa-se o modo como o bebê recém-chegado, o grupo que o acolhe e os profissionais reagem à nova situação, bem como as questões relativas ao planejamento docente deste período. Trata-se de um estudo de caso no contexto coletivo de educação infantil, que utilizou procedimentos metodológicos da etnografia. Metodologicamente, observa-se e registra-se o observado por meio de (diário de campo, fotografias e filmagens). As observações empíricas ocorreram em uma creche pública do município de Florianópolis/SC/Brasil, durante 1 semestre. De início, é feito um mapeamento da produção já existente acerca do tema, apresenta-se uma aproximação da discussão semântica entre os termos utilizados para descrever este período de entrada de crianças novas na creche; em seguida, faz-se o mapeamento dos indicativos apresentados pelos documentos legais, principalmente as publicações do MEC acerca do tema; e finaliza-se o trabalho com a exposição das reflexões tecidas a partir da observação do processo de inserção de um bebê num grupo de 15 crianças com idade de 6 meses a 1 ano e 3 meses em uma creche. No tecer das análises, foi considerada a ação docente em relação à criança que se inseria no grupo, em relação ao grupo de crianças que a recebeu e em relação à sua família. Primeiramente, observou-se às reações do bebê inserido no grupo, como choro e outros sinais de desconforto, bem como as estratégias pedagógicas dos docentes neste período. Percebeu-se ainda, que ocorreram modificações significativas nas relações sociais intragrupo, especialmente no tocante ao crescimento da necessidade de atenção aos bebês já integrantes do grupo. Com relação a presença da família, ficou evidente que sua participação foi fundamental para o conhecimento dos hábitos particulares da criança e para a diminuição do estranhamento que o novo meio aportou. As relações entre a família e as professoras também se mostraram um aspecto importante para a inserção de um bebê na creche. Quanto à ação docente, o planejamento para o a inserção de um bebê no meio do ano foi baseado no planejamento do início do ano onde todas as crianças entram no mesmo momento, bem como as ações de cuidado predominaram neste momento de inserção. Acentua-se a importância das relações entre os envolvidos no processo (família/mãe, bebê, grupo de crianças que recebe o novo12bebê e os profissionais), uma vez que são eles que contribuem para a aceitação e aproximação do novo bebê e da nova família.<br>Abstract : This research on master's level is about a baby insertion process in a day care center. The main objective was to understand the relationship between an incoming baby and his family that enter a day care center in a group already constituted. It analyzes how the newcomer baby, the group that welcomes him and the professionals react to the new situation and also the issues related to the teaching planning for this period. This is a case study in the context of early childhood education, that used methodological procedures of ethnography. This methodology is conducted through observation, registration of things observed (field diary, pictures and filmings) and it is analyzed the way as the recently-arrived baby, the group that welcomes him and the professionals react to the new situation, as well as the subjects relative to the educational planning of this period. The empirical observations happened at a public day care center of the Florianópolis/SC/Brazil municipality, for 1 semester. At the beginning, there is made a survey of the existing production concerning the theme, it is done an approach of the semantic discussion about the terms used to describe this period of new children's entrance in the day care center; following, it is made the raising of the indicative parameters presented by the legal documents, mainly the publications of the Education and Culture Ministry (MEC) concerning the theme; and the study is concluded with the exhibition of the reflections woven starting from the observation of the process of a baby's insertion in a group of 15 children with age of 6 months to 1 year and 3 months in a day care center. In the performance of the analyses, the educational action was considered in relation to the child that was attached to the group, in relation to the children's group that received the new child and in relation to its family. Firstly, the baby's reactions inserted into the group were observed, signs as cry and other discomfort signs, as well as the teachers' pedagogic strategies in this period were observed. It was still noticed, that happened significant modifications in the social relationships among the group components, especially concerning the growth of the need of attention to the babies already integrants of the group. In relation to the family presence, it came clear that its participation was fundamental for the understanding of the peculiar habits of the child and for the decrease of the stranger feeling that the new environment brought. The relationships between the family and the teachers were also shown as an important aspect for a baby's insertion in the day care center. As it concerns to the educational action,14the planning for a baby's insertion in the middle of the year was based on the planning of the beginning of the year, where all the children enter in the same moment, as well as the care actions prevailed at this time of insertion.
