Nacionalmente, há um constante processo de êxodo rural, principalmente das jovens, o que leva ao envelhecimento e a masculinização do campo. Histórica e socialmente as trajetórias das jovens eram voltadas ao casamento ou ao celibato civil ou religioso, em uma posição de subordinação ao masculino. Mas ocorre uma mudança no processo de reprodução social da agricultura familiar, em que o foco da família (o coletivo) passa para o individual (pessoal), com uma maior flexibilização no padrão de herança. Portanto, atualmente, há uma tendência maior das jovens migrarem em busca do estudo. A migração das jovens se dá em procura de melhores condições de vida e do acesso à renda, em que há um incentivo da família para que as filhas e os filhos estudem. Em um contexto social, em que, dificilmente as jovens são as sucessoras, são os filhos não sucessores incentivados a migrarem e buscarem por uma reconversão social. Portanto, o maior acesso à educação no meio rural pode despertar o interesse dos jovens de ali realizarem seus projetos de vida? (sucessão). Ou, ao contrário, o acesso à educação é o primeiro passo para a migração para as cidades? É importante considerar que a escola tradicionalmente, reproduz a estrutura social entre dominantes e dominados. E são as trajetórias diferenciadas por questões como as relações de gênero, de classe social, de origem social, entre outras, em que estão os investimentos escolares atrelados às condições da reprodução social da agricultura familiar. Portanto, foi realizado um breve mapeamento de jovens filhas de agricultores, que estudaram ou estudam, no Instituto Federal Catarinense – Campus Ibirama, através do método de arborescência/bola de neve, visando uma compreensão mais aprofundada deste processo. Mas muitas questões permanecem abertas para pesquisas futuras.This work sought to understand the issue of access to education and the trajectory of rural youth in the interior of Santa Catarina. Nationally, there is a constant process of rural exodus, especially of young women, which leads to the aging and masculinization of the countryside. Historically and socially, the trajectories of the young women were focused on marriage or civil or religious celibacy, in a position of subordination to the male. But there is a change in the process of social reproduction of family farming in which the focus of the family (the collective) shifts to the individual (personal), with greater flexibility in the pattern of inheritance. Therefore, currently, there is a greater tendency for young people to migrate in search of education. The migration of young women takes place in search of better living conditions and access to income, and there is an incentive from the family for their daughters and sons to study. In a social context in which young women are hardly the successors, nonsuccessor children are encouraged to migrate and seek social reconversion. Therefore, can greater access to education in rural areas arouse the interest of young people to carry out their life projects there? (succession). Or, on the contrary, is access to education the first step towards migration to cities? It is important to consider that the school traditionally, reproduces the social structure between the dominant and the dominated. And it is the trajectories differentiated by issues such as gender relations, social class, social origin, among others, in which school investments are linked to the conditions of social reproduction of family farming. Therefore, a brief mapping of young daughters of farmers, who studied or are studying, at the Instituto Federal Catarinense – Campus Ibirama, was carried out using the arborescence/snowball method, aiming at a deeper understanding of this process.
