Resumo: In Una mujer de fin de siglo (1999), María Rosa Lojo evokes Eduarda Mansilla (1834-1892), who belonged to the political and intellectual elite of nineteenth-century Argentina. According to Lojo, Mansilla was an eccentric writer, for her thoughts about the claim of equality of women in nineteenth century society. Based on the research of Showalter (1994), Zolin (2005), Filer (2007) and Esteves (2011), the purpose of this article is to examine how Lojo built her protagonist from forgotten or marginalized texts by Mansilla, emphasizing the feminine perspective.
