Resumo: This analysis aims to understand the work of the female writer Carolina Maria de Jesus, whose main challenge lies in conceiving a new space of enunciation for discourses that until recently were inexpressive and, because of this value judgment, they disappeared or they were neglected. The author’s writing points to a re-signification of the mentalities and a new understanding of significant values of our historical-cultural formation, highlighting a political discourse, since it reveals the peculiarities of a people that has, in its matrix, the stigma of ethnic diversity.
