Resumo: | The gall-forming nematodes belonging to the genus Meloidogyne are one of the major damage-causing parasites in agricultural crops, with a major impact on world cereal production. For irrigated rice culture, Meloidogyne graminicola is the most frequent species due its adaptation, survival and multiplication in areas under flood management. In Rio Grande do Sul state, which is responsible for 70% of national rice production, surveys have been carried out to identify areas infested by Meloidogyne graminicola. Once areas were identified with parasite presence, the need of studies to better understand how it impact rice production in the state appear. The present study evaluated the reaction of different rice irrigated cultivars to M. graminicola inoculation and quantified the damage caused by the pathogen in different population densities. Two experiments were performed under greenhouse conditions and a third trial was carried on field. The first experiment was carried to evaluate the reaction test of six rice cultivars after M. Graminicola inoculation. At 60 days after inoculation (DAI) roots and substrate were extracted to determine reproduction factor. The second experiment deal with the interaction with two cultivars GURI INTA CL and IRGA 424 RI, which have different reaction to Meloidogyne graminicola. In the second experiment cultivars were inoculated with seven different inoculums densities and it was evaluated at 60 DAI for stature, fresh shoot mass, fresh root mass and number of juveniles and eggs in root tissue and substrate. A third trial was installed at the field in order to quantify productivity damage under three different ranges of population densities of M. graminicola. GURI INTA CL and PUITÁ cultivars presented highest reproductive factors, IRGA 428 and SCS 116 cultivars showed intermediate values and IRGA 424 IR and SCS 121 cultivars presented lowest reproductive factors. The GURI INTA CL and IRGA 424 RI cultivars presented changes in the evaluated parameters, mainly the decrease of the mass of the root system, which responded linearly as the inoculated densities increased. It was observed a reduction in productivity as the nematode population increased. |

Em arroz irrigado, a espécie Meloidogyne graminicola é a de maior ocorrência devido a sua adaptação, sobrevivência e multiplicação em áreas sob manejo de inundação. No estado do Rio Grande do Sul, responsável por 70% da produção nacional de arroz, tem-se realizado levantamentos visando identificação de áreas infestadas por Meloidogyne graminicola. Uma vez identificadas áreas com a presença do parasita, evidencia-se a necessidade de estudos que permitam compreender o impacto do mesmo na produção orizícola do Estado. O presente trabalho avaliou o comportamento de diferentes cultivares de arroz irrigado à M. graminicola e quantificação do dano causado pelo patógeno. Os ensaios foram realizados em casa de vegetação e no campo. O primeiro ensaio teve por objetivo testar a reação de seis cultivares de arroz à M. graminicola. Aos 60 dias após a inoculação (DAI), foi realizada a extração das raízes e do substrato para determinação do fator de reprodução. O segundo ensaio foi instalado com os cultivares GURI INTA CL e IRGA 424 RI, que possuem reação distinta a Meloidogyne graminicola. Esses foram inoculados com sete diferentes densidades populacionais da espécie e avaliados, aos 60 DAI, quanto estatura, massa fresca da parte aérea, massa fresca da raiz e número de juvenis e ovos no tecido radicular e no substrato. O terceiro ensaio foi instalado a campo, a fim de quantificar o dano em produtividade sob três diferentes faixas de densidades populacionais de M. graminicola. No estudo de reação, os cultivares GURI INTA CL e PUITÁ apresentaram os maiores fatores de reprodução, o IRGA 428 e o SCS 116 demonstraram valores intermediários e os cultivares IRGA 424 RI e SCS 121 apresentaram os menores fatores de reprodução. No segundo experimento, os dois cultivares apresentaram, já nas primeiras densidades populacionais inoculadas, alterações nos parâmetros avaliados, sobretudo quanto à diminuição da massa do sistema radicular, que respondeu linearmente conforme as densidades de inoculo foram aumentadas. No campo, houve redução em produtividade, com dano crescente conforme o aumento das populações incidentes.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AgronomiaUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessArroz irrigadoNematoidesFator de reproduçãoMeloidogyne graminicolaCultivaresIrrigated riceNematodesReproductive factorCultivarsCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIAFator de reprodução de Meloidogyne graminicola em cultivares de arroz irrigado e quantificação de danoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisBalardin, Ricardo Silveirohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6547445501940321Costa, Ivan Francisco Dressler daDebortoli, Monica Paulahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1779715734612268Aita, Natalia Tobin500100000009600600600600600db30a6fa-b8fd-467f-8b97-06372e6314305a447552-7f4d-4865-bfca-9559fd19b241c829a1ba-7182-4747-8ba2-ecf7c08a2b880059532f-7c0d-4435-88c4-f30bb031bb06reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_AITA_NATALIA.pdfDIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_AITA_NATALIA.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf1523682http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/20745/1/DIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_AITA_NATALIA.pdf7d0599ab23e4b7a3081501398fe06a23MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
