Resumo: The following study aimed to identify the perceptions on patient safety,safety actions carried out in the clinical unit, and gather suggestions for improving patient safety practicesby nursing technicians who work in shifts. It is characterized as an exploratory and descriptive research with a qualitative approach, developed in a private hospital in the Northwesternregion of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Fourteen nursing technicians working for a medical unit of the hospital have taken part of the study, meeting the inclusion criteria as it follows: having a minimum of six months of experience in the Clinical Unit and being a nursing technician. Data collection occurred from April to June 2017, through semi-structured interviews and systematic non-participant observation. For assessment of the data obtained, it has been applied Thematic Content Analysis proposed by Minayo. The recommendations set out in Resolution # 466/2012 of the National Health Council have been followed, regarding the regulatory standards for research involving human subjects, with approval by the Ethics Committee of the UFSM No 65333317.3.0000.5346 and Opinion Number: 1982855. The analyses of the statements of participants and records of the observations were organized in three thematic categories: care of systematic practices designed to promote patient safety; patient safety and their interfaces in nursing shifts; and patient safety: what to do to improve? The systematic practices of care to promote patient safety involve, besides the respect to ministerial protocols implemented in the institution, a new perception of the worker to the changes taking place in favor of patient safety, such as the inclusion of the patient and companion in the care process. Perceptions regarding the safety of the patient and the interfaces in nursing work pervade by aspects related to knowledge of patient safety, personal organization, teamwork, and routines inherent to the work shift. The suggestions refer to training in shifts and workplace, constant reminders, especially on the checking of the “novecertos” for medication administration, the importance of the partner's presence, and the need for improvement in physical resources. It was concluded that the study participants were aware of the actions related to patient safety according to institutional protocols deployed and sought to develop safe care in their working shifts.

It was concluded that the study participants were aware of the actions related to patient safety according to institutional protocols deployed and sought to develop safe care in their working shifts.Trata-se de um estudo que teve como objetivos conhecer as percepções de técnicos de enfermagem que atuam em turnos sobre a segurança do paciente, identificar ações de segurança do paciente realizadas na unidade clínica, identificar sugestões para melhorar as práticas de segurança do paciente.Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva com abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvida em um hospital privado na região noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Participaram 14 técnicas de enfermagem atuantes em uma unidade de clínica médica do hospital, atenderam aos critérios de inclusão: possuir mínimo de seis meses de experiência na Unidade Clínica e ser técnico de enfermagem. A coleta de dados ocorreu de abril a junho de 2017, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e observação sistemática não participante. Para apreciação dos dados obtidos foi empregada a Análise de Conteúdo do Tipo Temática proposta por Minayo. Foram seguidas as recomendações previstas na Resolução nº466/2012 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde, no que se refere às normas regulamentadoras de pesquisa envolvendo seres humanos, com aprovação pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UFSM nº 65333317.3.0000.5346 e número do parecer Número do Parecer: 1.982.855. A análise dos depoimentos das participantes e dos registros das observações foram organizadas em três categorias temáticas: práticas sistematizadas de cuidado desenvolvidas para promover a segurança do paciente; segurança do paciente e suas interfaces nos turnos de trabalho da enfermagem; e segurança do paciente: o que fazer para melhorar? As práticas sistematizadas de cuidado para promover a segurança do paciente envolvem, além da adesão aos protocolos ministeriais implantados na instituição, uma nova percepção do trabalhador para as mudanças que estão ocorrendo em prol da segurança do paciente, como a inclusão do paciente e acompanhante no processo de cuidar. As percepções em relação à segurança do paciente e as interfaces no trabalho da enfermagem perpassam por aspectos relacionados ao conhecimento sobre a segurança do paciente, a organização pessoal, o trabalho em equipe e as rotinas inerentes ao turno de trabalho. As sugestões referem-se às capacitações nos turnos e local de trabalho, lembretes constantes, especialmente sobre a conferência dos nove certos da administração de medicamentos, à importância da presença do acompanhante e à necessidade de melhoria nos recursos físicos. Conclui-se que as participantes deste estudo conheciam as ações relacionadas à segurança do paciente segundo os protocolos institucionais implantados e buscavam desenvolver o cuidado seguro nos turnos de trabalho.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências da SaúdePrograma de Pós-Graduação em EnfermagemUFSMBrasilEnfermagemAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSegurança do pacienteTrabalho em turnosEnfermagemPatient safetyWork in shiftsNursingCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMSegurança do paciente e a interface com o trabalho em turnos de técnicos de enfermagemPatient safety and theinterface with work in shiftsof nursing techniciansinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSilva, Rosângela Marion dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2110092444567232Beck, Carmem Lúcia Coloméhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2883979357361814Kolankiewicz, Adriane Cristina Bernathttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7833969359741646Camponogara, Silviamarhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3418538910386427Dalmolin, Graziele de Limahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7268927320407160http://lattes.cnpq.br/7672151509182725Cigana, Fabiele Aozane400400000000600943ebba1-1c67-4bf2-b245-4d0fe87ac67908d84b6f-74ab-4f71-a03f-0d47a4c306a4f929d59c-f5c3-4b99-8a10-aaa682bd2156a4b0ffe5-610b-4d2e-8905-4c0864bf97a57389a6d0-2ad1-4ef8-8743-7442dd9ce95782c1c1d8-1106-45c9-807e-7af7e35e0c51reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_AOZANE_FABIELE.pdfDIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_AOZANE_FABIELE.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf763634http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/14870/1/DIS_PPGENFERMAGEM_2018_AOZANE_FABIELE.pdf7e152e592919daec8841c48bf1fbfa13MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
