Summary: | Old age is permeated by stigma and a paradoxical experience at contemporary times, in the face of a society that on one hand constantly seeks to prolong life to not encounter death, and on the other it strives to distance itself from the reflexes of its presence. Reflexes that overlap by changes that touch the subject means, his body, psyche and relationships, in order to portray inevitable losses in the development process. In this scenario, the contemporary Western society, which values the production and the imperative of happiness, has as characteristic the aversion to the losses and the finitude, being these extinct of the reflections and social guidelines. In this way, images are often constructed about old age, intertwined in the idea that denotes only healthy aspects and joy, removing everything that refers to possible losses of the symbolic and real order, which reverberates in the absence of spaces for the elaboration of the same ones. In addition, this whole process demands to think about the others look directed to the elderly, which still today refers to the idea of fragility and being defenseless, so as not to accept the anxieties and help them in the elaboration of their experiences. In the face of this, the objective of this research is to understand how the elderly subjects mean old age, as well as their perceptions regarding death. This is due to the understanding that there are innumerable questions that pervade old age, such as entering into another social role, as well as the real loss of the other - spouse, family, friends - as well as symbolic loss of self through work, of the body and its performance. It is understood that the study importance is given to the extent that space for speech and reflection is allowed to the elderly, in order to provide subsidies for health practices that are closer to their demands, as well as a more humanized look and care to the experience of old age. For that, an exploratory and descriptive research, based on the clinicalqualitative method was used. The subjects of the survey were searched for in a Family Health Strategy responsible for the eastern Region of Rio Grande do Sul state interior, which has a significant demand with elderly people, being the sample composed by the data saturation criteria. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with open questions that with the consent of the participants were full transcript for analysis through content analysis. The research pledged to respect all ethical principles presented in the resolution 510/2016 that rules research with human beings. In this sense, the principles of autonomy, beneficence, efficiency, justice and equity will be respected, guaranteeing the rights and duties of the research participants, the scientific community and the State. |

Reflexos esses que se sobrepõe por meio de mudanças que tocam o sujeito, o seu corpo, psique e relações, de forma a retratar perdas inevitáveis no processo de desenvolvimento. Nesse cenário, a sociedade ocidental contemporânea, a qual preza pela produção e o imperativo da felicidade, possui como característica a aversão às perdas e à finitude, sendo essas extintas das reflexões e pautas sociais. Dessa maneira, muitas vezes, constroem-se imagens acerca da velhice, entrelaçadas na ideia que denota apenas aspectos saudáveis e alegria, afastando tudo que remete a possíveis perdas da ordem simbólica e real, o que reverbera na ausência de espaços para a elaboração das mesmas. Ademais, todo este processo demanda pensar acerca do olhar do outro direcionado aos idosos, o qual ainda hoje remete à ideia de fragilidade e do ser indefeso, de modo a não acolher as angústias e auxiliar na elaboração de suas vivências. Frente a isso, objetiva-se nesta pesquisa compreender como os sujeitos idosos significam a velhice, bem como, as suas percepções em relação à morte. Isso se deve ao entender que há inúmeras questões que perpassam a velhice, como a entrada em outro papel social, além da perda real do outro - cônjuge, familiares, amigos - bem como, as perdas simbólicas de si mesmo, por meio do trabalho, do corpo e de sua performance. Entende-se que a importância deste estudo se dá na medida em que se permite espaço de fala e reflexão ao idoso, de modo a fornecer subsídios para práticas de saúde que sejam mais próximas às suas demandas, bem como, um olhar e cuidado mais humanizado à vivência da velhice. Para tanto, foi utilizada uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, calcada no método clínico-qualitativo. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram buscados nos cadastros em uma Estratégia de Saúde da Família responsável pela região Centro Leste de um município do interior do Rio Grande do Sul, que possui uma significativa demanda com idosos, sendo a amostra composta pelo critério de saturação dos dados. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com questões abertas que, com o consentimento dos participantes, foram transcritas na íntegra para serem analisadas através da análise de conteúdo. A pesquisa comprometeu-se em respeitar todos princípios éticos presentes na resolução 510/2016 que rege a pesquisa com seres humanos. Nesse sentido, serão respeitados os princípios da autonomia, beneficência, não mal eficiência, justiça e equidade, garantindo os direitos e deveres dos participantes da pesquisa, à comunidade científica e ao Estado.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em PsicologiaUFSMBrasilPsicologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessVelhiceLutoFinitudeOld ageMourningFinitudeCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIANarrativas da velhice: entrelaces do discurso acerca do lutoThe old age narrative: speech intertwined about griefinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisQuintana, Alberto Manuelhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7464902899875284Santos, Gabriela Casellato Brown FerreiraWottrich, Shana Hastenpflughttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1375710646490674Olesiak , Luísa da Rosa700700000001600600600600600951a8e6d-10e4-495f-97ca-ae4fcdace072aa594652-02d2-4abc-9139-3b0cb48593f5829a9c9d-d8d6-419b-86b7-e91ff6898351dd3da8ec-4375-4247-b503-f1a15f9ad9d6reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2018_OLESIAK_LUISA.pdfDIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2018_OLESIAK_LUISA.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf1622881http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/20641/1/DIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2018_OLESIAK_LUISA.pdf0c2591302556b2047e12434ddd43f78dMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
