Resumo: Intensive forestry has proposed the maximum use of resources produced in forest ecosystems, however, studies evaluating the management of havesting residues and the replacement of nutrients in the form of fertilizers still lack information to assess the nutritional sustainability in the system. Given this, the present study aimed to evaluate the growth, biomass and nutrients for Eucalyptus saligna to 22 months age. The experiment was conducted in the Horto Florestal da Barba Negra, located in the city Barra do Ribeiro / RS, applying a randomized block design with 3 repetitions. Four treatments were applied: T1 = presence of havesting residues in the field of cultivation, T2 = removal of the havesting residue without nutritional replacement, T3 = removal of havesting residues and replacement of 50% of the nutrients amount removed with the residues, and T4 = removal of havesting residues and replacement of 100% of the nutrients amount removed with the residues. The chemical characteristics were evaluated, and the soil nutrients stock during 15 months of planting was estimated. For dendrometric evaluation, it was measured the DBH and the total height of the trees at 7, 12, 18 and 22 months of age. The leaf area index and aboveground biomass were determined using as reference the average DBH of trees in each of the growing conditions. The nutrient use efficiency (NUE) was calculated as the ratio between the biomass and the amount of nutrient of each biomass component. The effective CEC, in the layer of 20-40 cm depth was the only chemical attribute of the soil that showed significant difference, with higher levels in the condition of waste removal and replacement of 100% of the nutrients. The greatest growth of Eucalyptus saligna was observed with waste removal and replacement of 100% of the nutrients. The leaf area index and aboveground biomass were not affected by waste management and replacement of nutrients at 22 months age. The allocation of aboveground biomass followed the same order: wood > green branches > leaf > bark > dry branches. However, the treatments influenced the order of nutrient accumulation in the different components of biomass. Wood was the component that showed higher values of NUE for most nutrients analyzed.

Diante disto, o presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o crescimento, a biomassa e os nutrientes em plantios jovens de Eucalyptus saligna. O experimento foi conduzido no Horto Florestal da Barba Negra, localizado no município Barra do Ribeiro/RS, empregando um delineamento em blocos ao acaso com 3 repetições. Foram utilizados 4 tratamentos: T1= manutenção dos resíduos de colheita na área de cultivo, T2= remoção dos resíduos, sem reposição nutricional, T3= remoção dos resíduos e reposição de 50% da quantidade de nutrientes removidos com o resíduo e T4= remoção dos resíduos e reposição de 100% dos nutrientes removidos com o resíduo. Analisou-se os atributos químicos e estimou-se o estoque de nutrientes no solo aos 15 meses de plantio. Para a avaliação dendrométrica, aferiu-se o DAP e altura total das árvores aos 7, 12, 18 e 22 meses de idade. O Índice de Área Foliar e a biomassa acima do solo foram determinados tendo como referência o DAP médio das árvores em cada uma das condições de cultivo. A eficiência de utilização nutricional (EUN) foi calculada pela razão entre a biomassa e a quantidade de nutriente de cada componente da biomassa. A CTC efetiva, na camada de 20-40 cm de profundidade foi o único atributo químico do solo que apresentou diferença significativa, com maior teor na condição de remoção dos resíduos e reposição de 100% dos nutrientes removidos. O maior crescimento do Eucalyptus saligna foi observado com a remoção dos resíduos e reposição de 100 % dos nutrientes. O Índice de Área Foliar e a biomassa acima do solo não sofreram efeito do manejo dos resíduos e a reposição dos nutrientes aos 22 meses de idade. A alocação de biomassa acima do solo seguiu a mesma ordem: madeira > galho verde > folhas > casca > galhos secos. No entanto, os tratamentos influenciaram a ordem do acúmulo de nutrientes nos diferentes componentes da biomassa. A madeira foi o componente que apresentou, para a maioria dos nutrientes analisados, maior valor na EUN.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia FlorestalUFSMBrasilRecursos Florestais e Engenharia FlorestalAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEstoque de nutrientesNutrição florestalSolos florestaisNutrients stockForest nutritionForest soilsCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::RECURSOS FLORESTAIS E ENGENHARIA FLORESTALCrescimento, biomassa e nutrientes do Eucalyptus saligna Smith sob manejo dos resíduos da colheita e fertilizaçãoGrownth, biomass and nutrients of Eucalyptus saligna Smith on harvest residue management and fertilizationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSchumacher, Mauro Valdirhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4577505947479643Vogel, Hamilton Luiz Munarihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9394478619534442Viera, Márciohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3460324370874535http://lattes.cnpq.br/5332660640214000Queiroz, Túlio Barroso50020000000360066a4f294-3de9-4e2f-a787-e09bce097e3b8714952a-dbf6-4213-9f09-25a59d4c071717be2ea8-44f4-43c1-8ba2-0fa0f9665590f102aaeb-2356-473b-8a3f-b63432bdeb30reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMCC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
