Resumo: | This paper examines the book Os Bruzundangas, composed of fictional chronicles written by Lima Barreto. In it, there is a Brazilian storyteller who lived in Bruzundanga, a distant and different country from Brazil. It is a satirized view, because, as its name means, Bruzundanga is a country of chatter that leads nowhere. In this work, the literate criticizes the precious language; blistering and futile literature; educational institutions dedicated to the aristocracy; public education; urban reform in the name of a french portrait of the country; and the Republic that wants a Rio de Janeiro without blacks and poor people. Keywords: Lima Barreto; Bruzundanga; ictional chronicle; militant literature |
