STUDENT’S PERCEPTION ABOUT ONLINE PROGRAMS

Resumo: This article proposes a discussion about how undergraduate students in face-to-face education are perceiving online education by making a brief profile of these students. The research is based on an exploratory case study developed with 129 undergraduate students from six undergraduate programs in Journalism, Pedagogy, Law, Architecture, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering at the Tocantins Federal University in Palmas-TO. The methodology was developed through the application and analysis of a questionnaire to the 129 students. Results show that students perception is mostly negative, specially their perceptions regarding academic rigor, fraud and plagiarism.

La investigación se basa en un estudio de caso exploratorio realizado con 129 estudiantes de pregrado de la Universidad Federal de Tocantins pertenecientes a programas presenciales de periodismo, educación, derecho, arquitectura, ingeniería eléctrica e ingeniería civil. La metodología se desarrolló a partir de la aplicación y análisis de una encuesta a los 129 estudiantes. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que, en general, la percepción de los estudiantes fue predominantemente negativa, en particular, las percepciones acerca del rigor académico, el fraude y el plágio.Este artigo propõe a discussão sobre como os alunos ingressantes da graduação presencial estão percebendo a educação online fazendo um breve perfil dos mesmos. A pesquisa baseia-se em um questionário aplicado a 129 alunos ingressantes da graduação presencial, de seis cursos presenciais: Jornalismo, Pedagogia e Direito – Humanas; e Arquitetura, Engenharia Elétrica e Engenharia Civil - Exatas; da Universidade Federal do Tocantins na cidade de Palmas-TO.  Por meio do questionário foi possível conhecer a percepção dos alunos em relação à Educação Online. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório de caso. Pelos resultados apurados, identificou-se que em geral a percepção dos alunos foi negativa, em especial, as percepções quanto ao rigor acadêmico, fraudes e plágio.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Percepção Discente; Educação Online; Educação Superior.     ABSTRACT This article proposes a discussion about how undergraduate students in face-to-face education are perceiving online education by making a brief profile of these students.
