Experience report in hospital psychology internship in southwest Bahia with the help of music therapy

This article aimed to report the interventions carried out through interactive moments with chronic kidney patients in order to reduce idleness and help maintain mental health. In this way, it is an experience report of an academic of the psychology course of a Higher Education Institution (HEI), located in the southwest of Bahia, organized and applied from a project that had musical interventions experienced through a practical internship subject of a mandatory nature. It was carried out in a renal treatment unit with the patients, in which, through questions about their musical preferences, music therapy was used to work on themes such as: security, insecurity, strengths, strengths, grief and moving on. Thus, this academic experience with an emphasis on Hospital Psychology, in which the intern worked at this institution with therapeutic music therapy activities, in addition to welcoming and listening, at first, it provided an exchange of knowledge between the hospitalized and the intern, it helped to maintain the patients' mental health, in addition to highlighting memories and interaction, which resulted in the minimization of the main demand found, the idleness of the participants.
