The relational nature of modern linguistics founding concepts: a reading of the Course in General Linguistics

Resumo: In this paper we propose a reading of Course in General Linguistics edition, whose publication in 1916 is recognized as the mark of Modern Linguistics foundation. This reading we propose will be guide by a particular aim: to show how the notion of relation, beyond the value theory that is considered the most important Saussure’s reflection, is also imperative for the elaboration of different concepts proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure such as language, synchrony, diachrony, mutability, immutability, arbitrariness and linearity, among others.
