Resumo: This article deals with The Arcades Project, aiming the textual and socio-historical analysis of its construction. In addition to the text of The Arcades Project and their author, dialogues with authors such as Willi Bolle, organizer of the brazilian edition; Rolf Tiedemann, organizer of the german edition; Pierre Levy on the concept of hypertext; the philosopher Olgária Matos; the scholar Stephen Schwartz; and David Mauas, director of an investigative documentary about Walter Benjamin. The methodology used made it possible to revisit the historical and cultural trajectory of the constitution and transformation of the The Arcades Project, including using the author's correspondence, in addition to revisiting the analyzes made by the organizers of the German and Brazilian editions. The reflections made in the construction of this article led to the understanding The Arcades Project as a complex hypertextual systemic device, which surpasses the conventional conception of a book

Busca lançar luzes sobre a sua concepção e elaboração, que tem como característica o inacabamento, uma constituição fragmentária e constelacional, sem contar o seu aspecto hipertextual. Além das Passagens em si e seu autor, dialoga-se com autores como Willi Bolle, organizador da edição brasileira; Rolf Tiedemann, organizador da edição alemã; Pierre Levy acerca da concepção de hipertexto; a filósofa Olgária Matos; o estudioso Stephen Schwartz; e David Mauas, diretor de um documentário investigativo sobre Benjamin. Adotouse como metodologia a revisitação do percurso histórico e cultural da produção e transformação do projeto das Passagens, utilizando-se inclusive de correspondência do autor, bem como da revisitação das análises feitas pelos organizadores das edições alemã e brasileira.
