HISTÓRIA REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS DA ESCOLA ESTADUAL DE UBERLÂDIA (1929 - 1950)

Trata-se da comunicação dos resultados alcançados em investigação no campo da História da Educação, especificamente, na área da História das Instituições Educacionais. A instituição em exame é a Escola Estadual de Uberlândia, sediada em Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. Esta pesquisa objetivou analisar a História da Escola Estadual de Uberlândia a partir das representações sociais construídas ao seu redor na cidade e região no período de 1929 a 1950. No decorrer dessa investigação foram consultadas a bibliografia nacional e internacional sobre o assunto, os documentos do acervo da escola, bem como os jornais da época, fotografias e documentos do acervo do arquivo público municipal. Além disso, foram importantes os depoimentos recolhidos junto a ex-alunos e ex-professores do colégio, entre outros. Os resultados alcançados demonstraram que as representações sociais construídas em torno da Escola Estadual de Uberlândia conferiram centralidade a essa instituição na cidade e região do Triangulo Mineiro, o que contribuiu para legitimar seus egressos como futuros dirigentes dos setores público e privado. Além disso, foi possível apreender a dimensão conservadora e tradicional da escola, com a valorização da pátria e da disciplina como modeladoras dos espíritos, mediante a ação dos professore vocacionados para a missão educacional. Nesse sentido, pode-se perceber a distância do ideário vigente na escola em relação àquele preconizado pelo movimento escolanovista que influenciava as reformas educacionais do período. The institution in question is the State School of Uberlândia. located in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, This research bad the purpose to analyse the History of the Slate School of Uberlândia from the social representations built around itself the city and region from 1929 to 1950. During this Investigation it was consulted the national and international bibliography on this topic, the documents of the amount of the school. as well as the seasons newspapers, photographs and documents of the municipal public file. Besides that, it’s good to emphasize the importance of the statements that were gather from former students and former teachers of the school. among others. The results achieved showed that the social representations built around the State School In Uberlândia had given centralness to this institution in the city and in Triângulo Mineiro area. which contributed to legitimate Its departures as future leaders of public and private sectors. Besides, it was possible to apprehend the conservative and traditional dimension of the school. with the appreciation of the and the discipline as spirits modeling given to the action of the gifted teachers to the educational mission. This way it could be realized the distance from the existent system of political and social ideas at school with regard to that extoled by the movement that use to influence educational of the period.
