PNAES foi institu?da em ?mbito federal pela Portaria Normativa 39, de 12 de dezembro de 2007 com o objetivo de minimizar os entraves que impedem o acesso ? educa??o. Essa pol?tica, com ?nfase neste trabalho, tem sido aplicada no IFNMG Campus Diamantina desde 2016. Como procedimentos metodol?gicos recorremos ?s pesquisas bibliogr?fica e documental, de car?ter explorat?rio, mediante a apresenta??o de dados dos sujeitos envolvidos, conforme quantifica??o e an?lise dos question?rios socioecon?micos dos Editais do Programa de Assist?ncia Estudantil e Apoio aos Estudantes dos cursos t?cnicos concomitantes/subsequentes e integrados. Na coleta de dados utilizamos um roteiro de indicadores, para subsidiar a an?lise dos documentos com base nos objetivos e hip?teses da pesquisa, cuja an?lise foi norteada pelo m?todo dial?tico. Como embasamento te?rico, contou com dados do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat?stica - IBGE (2018), Constitui??o Federal de 1988, Lei n? 9.394/1996, de Diretrizes e Bases da Educa??o Nacional, dados do F?rum Nacional de Pr?-Reitores de Assuntos Comunit?rios e Estudantis (FONAPRACE), Lei n? 8.742 - Lei Org?nica da Assist?ncia Social ? LOAS e, tamb?m, com informa??es de autores que discorrem sobre a educa??o na perspectiva de inclus?o, tais como SOUZA (2006), SANTOS (2017), SILVEIRA (2012), PIANA (2009), entre outros. Pretendeu-se, ao fim dessa pesquisa, realizar um levantamento dos alunos benefici?rios da Assist?ncia Estudantil do Campus Diamantina, a fim de conhecer o perfil dos discentes atendidos pelos aux?lios financeiros no per?odo de 2016 a 2018. Nesta perspectiva, o presente estudo prop?s contextualizar o processo hist?rico da Assist?ncia Estudantil no Brasil, descrever as etapas do processo da Assist?ncia Estudantil e refletir a efetividade da execu??o da pol?tica do PNAES. A motiva??o que conduziu essa pesquisa foi: qual ? o perfil dos discentes assistidos? Como hip?tese, questionamos at? que ponto o uso das informa??es decorrentes do estudo torna-se vital para os gestores educacionais, posto que o prop?sito ? propor a??es complementares, al?m das previstas. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2020.The National Student Assistance Policy - PNAES, was instituted at the federal level by Normative Ordinance 39, of December 12, 2007, with the objective of trying to alleviate the obstacles that prevent access to education. This research seeks to analyze the profile of IFNMG students, Campus Diamantina, attended by Student Assistance, in the period from 2016 to 2018. As methodological procedures, we resort to bibliographical and documentary research, of an exploratory nature, by presenting data from the subjects involved, according to the quantification and analysis of the socioeconomic questionnaires of the Public Notices of the Student Assistance and Student Support Program, of the enrollment of these students of the concurrent / subsequent and integrated technical courses. In data collection, we used a roadmap of indicators to support the analysis of documents based on the objectives and hypotheses of the research, whose analysis was guided by the dialectic method. Students assisted by Student Assistance are selected through a selection process, with the aim of providing permanence for those in situations of social vulnerability. As a theoretical basis, the research relied on data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE (2018), Federal Constitution of 1988, Law No. 9.394 / 1996, of National Education Guidelines and Bases, data from the National Forum of Pro-Rectors of Community and Student Affairs (FONAPRACE), Law n? 8.742 - Organic Law of Social Assistance - LOAS and, also with information from authors who talk about education in the perspective of inclusion, such as SOUZA (2006), SANTOS (2017), SILVEIRA (2012), PIANA (2009), among others. It was intended, at the end of this research, to know the profile of the students served by the Student Assistance of the Diamantina Campus to lead the discussion on the strengthening of the policy. In this perspective, the present study proposed to contextualize its historical process, describe the selection process and reflect the effectiveness in the permanence of the students.
