Resumo: | This work describes the syntheses and characterization of fourteen new compounds derived from sulfonamides: Two potassium dithiocarbimates, three salts of zinc(II) complexes with dithiocarbimates, three salts of nickel(II) complexes with dithiocarbimates, three salts of zinc(II) complexes with trithiocarbimates and three salts of nickel(II) mixed complexes with dithiocarbimates and trithiocarbimates. In addition, the antifungal activity of the zinc(II) and nickel(II) complexes were tested against Botrytis cinerea by the Poison Food technique. The new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis of C, H and N, nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared and ultraviolet- visible spectroscopies, and hi-resolution mass spectrometry. The complexes were further analyzed by atomic absorption for the determination of Zn and Ni. The 2-naphthalenesulfonamide is commercially available, and the 1- naphthalenesulfonamide was prepared from 1-naphthylsulfonyl chloride with and excess of concentrated ammonia solution. The potassium dithiocarbimates were obtained by the reaction of the corresponding sulfonamides with carbon disulfide and potassium hydroxide. The potassium dithiocarbimates reacted with zinc acetate or nickel sulfate and tetrabutylammonium bromide yielding the compounds with the general formulae: (Bu4N)2[M(RSO2N=CS2)2], where M = Zn or Ni, R = 1-naphthyl or 2-naphthyl). Analogous complexes with 1- naphthyldithiocarbimate were also obtained as tetraphenylphosphonium salts: (PPh4)2[M(RSO2N=CS2)2]. The zinc bisdithiocarbimate complexes reacted with yielding the tetraphenylphosphonium or tetrabutylammonium salts of zinc trithiocarbimates, [Zn(RSO2N=CS3)2]2-. Mixed nickel complexes with dithiocarbimates and trithiocarbimates, (PPh4)2[Ni(RSO2N=CS2)(RSO2N=CS3)] and (Bu4N)2[Ni(RSO2N=CS2)(RSO2N=CS3), were obtained from the zinc trithiocarbimates in reaction with nickel(II) sulfate. All new complexes were xiii active against B. cinerea, some of them being more active than the zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (Ziram). |

All new complexes were xiii active against B. cinerea, some of them being more active than the zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (Ziram).Esta dissertação descreve a síntese e caracterização de quatorze compostos inéditos derivados de sulfonamidas, sendo dois ditiocarbimatos de potássio, três sais de ditiocarbimatos de zinco(II), três sais de ditiocarbimatos de níquel(II), três sais de tritiocarbimatos de zinco(II) e três sais de complexos mistos de níquel(II) com ditio e tritiocarbimatos. Além disso, foi realizado o estudo da atividade antifúngica dos complexos de zinco(II) e níquel(II) contra Botrytis cinerea pelo método Poison Food. Os compostos inéditos foram caracterizados por análise elementar de C, H, N, espectroscopias de ressonância magnética nuclear, vibracional no infravermelho e eletrônica no ultravioleta-visível, e por espectrometria de massas de alta resolução. Os complexos também foram analisados por absorção atômica, para determinação de Zn e Ni. A 2-naftalenossulfonamida de partida foi obtida comercialmente e a 1-naftalenossulfonamida foi preparada por reação entre o cloreto de 1- naftilsulfonila e solução de amônia. Ditiocarbimatos de potássio foram obtidos por reação das respectivas sulfonamidas com dissulfeto de carbono e hidróxido de potássio. Os ditiocarbimatos de potássio reagiram, em presença de brometo de tetrabutilamônio, com acetato de zinco ou sulfato de níquel, produzindo complexos com ligantes ditiocarbimatos: (Bu4N)2[M(RSO2N=CS2)2], onde Bu = butil; M = Zn ou Ni; R = 1-naftila ou 2-naftila). Os complexos com o grupo 1- naftila também foram preparados como sais de tetrafenilfosfônio, formando (PPh4)2[M(RSO2N=CS2)2]. Os ditiocarbimatos de zinco(II) reagiram com enxofre, formando os sais de tetrabutilamônio ou tetrafenilfosfônio de bistritiocarbimatos de zinco, [Zn(RSO2N=CS3)2]2-. Complexos mistos de níquel com ditiocarbimatos e tritiocarbimatos, [Ni(RSO2N=CS2)(RSO2N=CS3)]2-, foram obtidos como sais de tetrabutilamônio e de tetrafenilfosfônio a partir da reação dos tritiocarbimatos de zinco com sulfato de níquel(II).
