Summary: The present work aimed to evaluate the addition of L-glutamine and glutamic acid more relationships digestible valine and lysine in pre-starter diets (aged from 21 to 35 and from 35 to 49 days) in animals and economic viability. Three hundred and eighty four piglets were used, including commercial hybrids (PIC ), castrated males and 21-day-old females, with an inital average weight of 5.43± 0.99 kg. They were distributed in blocks according to their weight. The experimental development in a completely randomized design. Four treatments were used: each repeated 8 times and 12 animals were used per repetition. The treatments were: T1-Basal Ration (RB), T2- RB + L-glutamine and glutamic acid (LGln +AC.Glu), T3 - RB + L-valine (L-val) and T4 - RB + L-glutamine and glutamic acid and L-valine (LGln + AC.Glu e L-val) in pre-initial 1 rations (aged from 21 to 35 days) and pre-initial 2 (aged from 35 to 49 days). L valine and L glutamine plus glutaminic acid were included according to their nutritional profile. Meal complex rations were used. All of them were isoproteinic, isoenergetic, isolisínicas, isophosporic and reached the figures proposed by the Brazilian charts (2011), except for valine in treatments 1 and 2. Zootechnical performance, energy use efficiency, protein use efficiency and economic rate of return in the periods from 21 to 35 days, from 45 to 49 days and from 21 to 45 days old was evaluated. The inclusion of L valine and L glutamine + glutaminic acid did not influence on weight gain, ration consumption, feed conversion or final weight in the periods from 21 to 35, 35 to 49 days nor in the complete period (P<0.05). Likewise, difference in treatments, energy and protein use efficiency was not observed in none of the evaluated periods (P<0.05). However, in absolute values, in the period from 21 to 35 days, the inclusion of L glutamine + glutaminic acid made an improvement of 6.25% in the feed conversion, while improvement of the addition of L valine was of 8.25% and the combination of L glutamine, glutaminc acid and L valine decreased 6.99% compared to the basal treatment. The profitability rate, indicator of the best economic rate in relation to the cost of used ration in the period from 21 to 35 days, was superior in the treatment with L valine crystal, while in the periods from 35 to 49 and 21 to 49 days the basal ration was the one which presented the highest rate.Supplementation of L-glutamine + L-glutamic acid and / or L-Valine not promote improvement in performance indexes in pigs fed complex diets. The ratio of 62% digestible valine: lysine in complex in complex diets the period 21 to 35 days and 63% in the period 35 to 49 days assured adequate performance of piglets.

The ratio of 62% digestible valine: lysine in complex in complex diets the period 21 to 35 days and 63% in the period 35 to 49 days assured adequate performance of piglets.
