The present study aims to verify the influence of perceptive-cognitive capabilities and Decision Making of Football Players. 36 soccer players of Under-13, U-15 and U-17 categories have been evaluated. Data collection was realized through the application of Mangas test (1999) with the utilization of Mobile Eye Tracking-XG. The first article aimed to verify if the quantity of processual and declarative knowledge influences the visual search strategies of football players. To do so, visual search strategies adopted by football players have been evaluated according to the following variables: i) amount, ii) duration and iii) preferred locals the fixations. It has been verified that the quantity of processual knowledge is an influencing factor of the visual search strategies: players with a better processual knowledge are able to search a greater amount of informations in the game ambient in a shorter period of time when seeking for information in more adequate localizations. Oppositely, the declarative knowledge doesn t show influence on this variable. The second article aimed to verify if the quantity of processual and declarative knowledge influences the cognitive effort of football players in specific game situations. Results revealed that players of different quantity of declarative and processual knowledge present differences in the cognitive effort when realizing a task. Players of greater knowledge of both types present less cognitive effort during moments demanding more perceptive-cognitive effort in the task. From the results, it is possible to conclude that the improvement of both types of knowledge is an important aspect and must be taken in consideration considering that knowledge influences perceptive-cognitive capabilities and Decision Making of football players.
