Resumo: In the integrated pest management programs is important the selection of efficient insecticides for the pest control and with low impact on natural enemies. The soybean looper, Chrysodeixis includens (Walker) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is an important pest of soybeans, beans, cotton, potatoes, tomatoes, sunflower and tobacco in various parts of the world. The pirate bugs from the Anthocoridae family are important predators of eggs and larvae in agroecosystems. Among these predators, Blaptostethus pallescens (Poppius) is an important species and little-studied. The aims of this study were to determine the selectivity of insecticides in relation to C. includens its prey, the possible biochemical mechanisms of physiological selectivity in favor of B. pallescens and changes in the locomotion behavior of the predator caused by pesticides. The cartap, clorantraniliprole, chlorfenapyr, spinosad, indoxacarb, methomyl, flubendiamide and deltamethrin insecticides showed higher mortality than 80% of C. includens larvae. Spinosad, methomyl and cartap were insecticides that controlled more quickly C. includens (less than 5 hours). Clorantraniliprole, chlorfenapyr, spinosad, indoxacarb and flubendiamide were selective to the pirate bug predator B. pallescens. The monooxygenases enzymes are possibly involved in the selectivity of chlorfenapyr, spinosad and indoxacarb. The transferases enzymes are possibly involved in the selectivity of chlorfenapyr, indoxacarb and flubendiamide. The esterase enzymes are possibly involved in the selectivity of chlorfenapyr to the predator B. pallescens. Flubendiamide had effect of attraction on B. pallescens. Cartap, indoxacarb and spinosad have had repellency effect over this predator. Thus, the results of this study reinforce the importance of using more selective compounds as chlorfenapyr, spinosad, indoxacarb and flubendiamide or also by compounds with high specificity as clorantraniliprole due to lower toxicity to non-target organisms which gives the possibility of more sustainable IPM programs of C. includens.

Espinosade, metomil e cartap foram os inseticidas que controlaram mais rapidamente C. includens (menos de 5 horas). Clorantraniliprole, clorfenapir, espinosade, indoxacarbe e flubendiamida foram seletivos em favor do percevejo predador B. pallescens. As enzimas monoxigenases possivelmente estão envolvidas na seletividade de clorfenapir, espinosade e indoxacarbe. As enzimas tranferases possivelmente estão envolvidas na seletividade de clorfenapir, indoxacarbe e flubendiamida. Já as enzimas esterases possivelmente estão envolvidas na seletividade do clorfenapir em favor do predador B. pallescens. Flubendiamida teve efeito de atração sobre B. pallescens. Já cartap, indoxacarbe e espinosade tiveram efeito de repelência sobre esse predador.
