If not human, monster: for a contemporary perception of human rights

Resumo: Based on studies on monstrosity, in a prospect of observation of these figures as representations of what is rejected by the idea of the human, it seeks to stress for who and how human rights fall on and how these bodies should be understood, using a decolonial reading key, which seeks to break with a structure of control, thinking in a contemporary context of plurality, in which no type of structural, symbolic and corporeal violence should exist. At first, we go into how the figures of monsters work as social metaphors for those who are inside a bubble of hegemonic patterns. In a second moment, it is proposed to analyze the key to a decolonial reading and its framework in view of a proposal to change current human rights. Finally, the aim is to stress what we are talking about, in a contemporary context of political-legal-social struggle, when we are talking about human rights.

Finally, the aim is to stress what we are talking about, in a contemporary context of political-legal-social struggle, when we are talking about human rights.Partindo dos estudos sobre monstruosidade, em um prospecto de observação dessas figuras como representações daquilo que é rechaçado pela ideia de humano, visa tensionar para quem e como os direitos humanos recaem sobre e como esses corpos deveriam serem entendidos, utilizando uma chave de leitura decolonial, que busca romper com uma estrutura de controle, pensando em um contexto contemporâneo de pluralidade, no qual nenhum tipo de violência estrutural, simbólica e corpórea, deveria existir. Em um primeiro momento adentramos em como as figuras dos monstros funcionam como metáforas sociais para aqueles, que estão dentro de uma bolha de padrões hegemônicos. Em um segundo momento se propõe analisar a chave de leitura decolonial e seu arcabouço diante de uma proposta de mudança dos direitos humanos atuais.
