Resumo: Objective: Monitor the performance of TBcontrol activities in Prison Units of Pará.Method: search quantitative, descriptive,conducted in 05 prisons. The data werecollected from September to October 2016,through the registration books, analysis andinterviews with 09 professionals, being 05nurses and 04 nursing technicians of the sector.Results: Showed that develop the TB controlactions in prisons is a big challenge because ofthe peculiarities of prisioners and the workingconditions in an environment that presentsdifferent conditions. It was found that despitethese difficulties there is one effort focused bythe professionals and managers to qualify theactions and achieve success in importantactivities such as HIV testing, monthly controlof sputum smear and culture with sensitivitytest for the diagnosis. Conclusion: Conductthis research allowed to know the effectivenessof TB control in the prison system and thereality of these services in partnership withprofessionals. This process facilitates access toknowledge of those involved and improve thequality of care.

Método:Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, llevó a caboen 05 cárceles. Los datos fueron recogidosentre septiembre y octubre de 2016, a través delos libros de registro de análisis y registros yentrevistas con 09 profesionales, 05enfermeras y 04 técnicos de enfermería delsector. Resultados: Mostró que se desarrollanlas acciones de control de la TB en las cárceleses un gran reto que supone para laspeculiaridades de las condiciones internas ytrabajan en un entorno que presenta diferentescondiciones. Se encontró que a pesar de estasdificultades se encuentra uno de losprofesionales y directivos esfuerzo paracalificar las acciones y lograr el éxito en lasactividades importantes, tales como la pruebadel VIH, el control mensual de frotis y cultivode esputo con la prueba de sensibilidad para eldiagnóstico concertadas. Conclusión: Llevar acabo esta investigación permitió conocer laeficacia de control de la tuberculosis en elsistema penitenciario y la realidad de estosservicios en colaboración con losprofesionales. Este proceso facilita el acceso alconocimiento de los involucrados y mejorar lacalidad de la atención.O estudo teve como objetivo monitorar a execução das atividades de controle da tuberculose em Unidades Prisionais do Pará. Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa quantitativa, descritiva, realizada em 05 unidades prisionais. Os dados foram coletados de setembro a outubro de 2016, por meio da análise de livros de Registro, prontuários e entrevista com 09 profissionais, sendo 05 enfermeiros e 04 técnicos de enfermagem do setor. Os resultados mostraram que desenvolver as ações de controle da tuberculose nas unidades prisionais é um grande desafio posto às peculiaridades dos internos e às condições de trabalho em um ambiente que apresenta condições diferenciadas. Constatou-se que apesar dessas dificuldades existe um esforço concentrado dos profissionais e gestores para qualificar as ações e alcançar o êxito em atividades importantes como testagem HIV, baciloscopias de controle mensal e cultura com teste de sensibilidade para o diagnóstico.
