Resumo: Abstract                                                                                   This article is anchored in the history seen from below approach, mainly, it is based on documents from Pernambuco Public Security Secretariat (Brazil). It aims to show the primary teacher and political prisoner Maria Celeste Vidal life trajectory. Through her experiences in favor of rural workers it was possible to unveil the formative elements of being a woman. Which individual action is associated with professorial habitus, political activism and relationship networks confronting fixed political and gender structures in the 1960s. Keywords: Peasant leagues, women, political activism, Pernambuco, civil military regime.

Keywords: Peasant leagues, women, political activism, Pernambuco, civil military regime.Resumen   Este artículo, anclado en el enfoque de la historia vista desde abajo y basado principalmente en documentos del Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Pernambuco (Brasil), propone mostrar la trayectoria vital de la maestra de escuela primaria y prisionera política María Celeste Vidal. A través de sus experiencias a favor de los trabajadores rurales, fue posible revelar elementos formativos del ser mujer en los que la acción individual se asocia con el hábito profesoral, la militancia política y las redes de relaciones para hacer frente a las violentas estructuras políticas y de género del decenio de 1960.  Palabras clave: ligas campesinas, mujer, militancia, Pernambuco, régimen civil militar.RésuméCet article, ancré dans l'approche de l'histoire vue d'en bas et basé, en particulier, sur des documents du Secrétariat de la Sécurité Publique de Pernambuco (Brésil), se propose de montrer le parcours de vie de l'institutrice et prisonnière politique Maria Celeste Vidal. À travers ses expériences en faveur des travailleurs ruraux, il a été possible de dévoiler des éléments formatifs de la femme dont l'action individuelle est associée à l'habitus des enseignants, à l'activisme politique et aux réseaux de relations pour affronter les structures politiques et de genre violentes des années 1960.Mots-clés: ligues paysannes, femme, militantisme, Pernambuco, régime civilo-militaire.Este artigo, ancorado na abordagem da história vista de baixo e baseado, sobretudo, em documentos da Secretaria de Segurança Pública de Pernambuco (Brasil), tem como proposta dar a ver a trajetória de vida da professora primária e presa política Maria Celeste Vidal. Por meio de suas experiências em prol dos trabalhadores rurais foi possível desvelar elementos formativos do ser mulher em que a ação individual se associa ao habitus professoral, a militância política e as redes de relacionamentos nos enfrentamentos às violentas estruturas politica e de gênero da década de 1960.
