Resumo: This article presents a comparative analysis of the post-graduation programs in Sociology in the State of São Paulo, face to the national panorama. This analysis is based on the data produced for CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior referring to the year of 2004, from which it searches to present trends of development of such programs with respect to the next years.
