Resumo: This paper has the intention to demonstrate the application of a proposed model to the evaluation of the teaching process, by using the “Quality Function Deployment” (QFD) tool, aiming at providing subsidies for the self-evaluation of Higher Education Institutions established by the National Higher Education Evaluation System (SINAES). The model was applied by means of a case study in the discipline of Information Management in the Production Engineering Course at CEFET-RJ. The results demonstrate the process stages that require improvement, so that the students’ needs can be fulfilled, thus meeting the SINAES guidelines. Keywords: QFD, Higher education, SINAES.

Keywords: QFD, Higher education, SINAES.Este trabalho pretende demonstrar a aplicação de um modelo proposto para avaliação do processo de ensino, utilizando a ferramenta QFD “Quality Function Deployment”, visando fornecer subsídios para a auto-avaliação das Instituições de Ensino Superior – IES estabelecido pelo Sistema Nacional de Avaliação do Ensino Superior - SINAES. O modelo foi aplicado através de um estudo de caso na disciplina de Gerência da Informação do Curso de Engenharia de Produção do CEFET-RJ. Os resultados demonstram etapas do processo que precisam ser melhoradas, para que as necessidades dos alunos sejam satisfeitas, visando atender às diretrizes do SINAES.
