Resumo: | According to the report on the circulating fleet, released by the National Union of the Automotive Components Industry (Sindipeças), Brazil reached a total of 2.1 million trucks circulating throughout the country in 2021. history of road freight transport in Brazil, an open field in historiography, this article aims, through a brief bibliographical survey, to contextualize the paths that were taken for the consolidation of road freight transport (trucks and trailers ), as well as the construction of thousands of kilometers of highways that cross the country from North to South, from the period of Portuguese America, to the present day. |
