Contradiction, discourse and resistance in the discourse analysis: there’s only fail for what causes

Resumo: This paper discusses the category of contradiction in the materialistic conception with the aim of reconsidering some of the implications of this to the Materialist Discourse Analysis. It talks about the contradiction concerning the ways in which it structurally organizes the entire complex with dominant of the discursive formations, and it places, in it, the imperative of resistance. To this end, Discourse Analysis assumes the contradiction as the organizing principle of the theoretical-analytical dispositif, especially in the definition of the relations between ideology and discourse. Therefore, the contradiction has a double character: that of dialectical principle implied in the theoretical foundations and that of an interpretative category to be mobilized in/by the analytical gesture.
