Resumo: This paper aims at analysing the constitution of landscapes ofinvestigation (SKOVSMOSE, 2000) at an episode. The episode occurred in acomputer laboratory, during a mathematics lesson. The research follows a qualitative approach in which participant observation is the main procedure.Our focus is on communicational aspects of students and researchers´interaction, which generated such landscapes or hampered their constitution.Three main issues emerge from our results: the ephemeralness of the landscapesof investigation, the relationship between human beings, media and knowledge;and the reasons that led us to reflect the episode as our research focus.

Optamos por uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa e o principal procedimento foi a observação participante. Para atingir o objetivo, analisamos aspectos comunicacionais, ocorridos entre os alunos participantes e as pesquisadoras, que desencadearam ou impediram o acontecimento de tais cenários. De nossa análise, destacamos três pontos: a efemeridade dos cenários para investigação; a relação entre seres humanos, mídia e conhecimento; e os motivos que nos levaram a escolher o episódio para análise.
