Resumo: | This article aims to discuss certain aspects of social life in a small rural village in Galicia, called Cortellas. With a comparison between the different definitions of the analytical category “Casa” and using ethnographic examples from Casa da Fraga or the Xulians, we will try to show some changes and persistence in the social organization of the village and the family. For that, in a first movement we will locate the village and from there we will start the discussion of a theoretical nature, bringing the contributions of authors such as Lévi-Strauss, Pierre Bourdieu and Carmelo Lisón Tolosana, who made important contributions to this analytical category. Finally, we will try to make an articulation between theory and field, going through different processes based on two central events in the social life of the village: the slaughter of the pig and the San Francisco party. Through the description of the functions that are developed in these events we will describe the kinship and neighborhood relations, their activities and positions. |

Con una comparación entre las diferentes definiciones de la categoría analítica “Casa” y utilizando ejemplos etnográficos de Casa da Fraga o de los Xulianos, intentaremos mostrar algunos cambios y persistencia en la organización social del pueblo y la familia. Para eso, en un primer movimiento ubicaremos el pueblo y desde allí iniciaremos la discusión de carácter teórico, trayendo los aportes de autores como Lévi-Strauss, Pierre Bourdieu y Carmelo Lisón Tolosana, quienes hicieron importantes aportes a esta analítica. categoría. Finalmente, intentaremos hacer una articulación entre teoría y campo, pasando por diferentes procesos basados en dos hechos centrales en la vida social del pueblo: la matanza del cerdo y la fiesta de San Francisco. A través de la descripción de las funciones que se desarrollan en estos eventos describiremos las relaciones de parentesco y vecindario, sus actividades y cargos.Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir certos aspectos da vida social de uma pequena aldeia rural da Galiza, chamada Cortellas. Com uma comparação entre as diferentes definições da categoria analítica “Casa” e valendo-nos de exemplos etnográficos da Casa da Fraga ou dos Xulians, tentaremos mostrar algumas mudanças e persistências na organização social da aldeia e da família. Para tanto, num primeiro movimento localizaremos a aldeia e daí partiremos para a discussão de natureza teórica, trazendo as contribuições de autores como Lévi-Strauss, Pierre Bourdieu e Carmelo Lisón Tolosana, que fizeram importantes aportes para essa categoria analítica. Para finalizar, tentaremos fazer uma articulação entre teoria e campo, perpassando diferentes processos a partir de dois eventos centrais da vida social da aldeia: a matança do porco e a festa de San Francisco. Através da descrição das funções que se desenvolvem nesses eventos descreveremos as relações de parentesco e de vizinhança, suas atividades e posições.
