Study on the resumption of face-to-face activities in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, based on the perception of those responsible for libraries

Resumo: Introduction: Since 2020, the world has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, with consequences such as the temporary interruption of face-to-face service to the public by libraries. Despite the fact that Brazil is one of the countries most affected by the pandemic, negotiations have been observed for the resumption of face-to-face activities in many educational institutions, generating apprehension and doubts among students and servers. In this context, the reference class libraries on how to analyze your own situation and thus establish a safe return strategy. Objective: The research aimed to trace and implement a route for analyzing the return conditions of libraries belonging to educational institutions to face-to-face activities, through the collection and analysis of the opinion of those responsible for the fulfillment of the sanitary criteria indicated by the biosafety protocol of the Regional Council of Librarianship of the State of São Paulo 8th Region (CRB-8). Method: The research is classified as exploratory, with a quantitative approach and case study design. Results: Among other results, it was found that 15% of the participants believe that their campus will guarantee an offer of personal protective equipment and 41% believe that there is enough space to guarantee distance between users. Conclusion: It is concluded thatthe work contributes to the effort to fight the pandemic by collaborating in the production of an instrument that can be replicated to other institutions, in addition to inspiring actions to listen to those involved in the constraints of confinement.

Apesar de o Brasil ser um dos países mais atingidos pela pandemia tem-se observado tratativas para a retomada das atividades presenciais em muitas instituições de ensino, gerando apreensão e dúvidas nos alunos e servidores.
