Wheat is one of the most important cereals, being used both for human and animal food. Due to its high production costs, its cultivation became unattractive, and among the costs, mineral fertilization excels. Organic fertilization has proven to be an alternative to mineral fertilization, as it provides nutrients, reduces costs and is also interesting for environmental preservation. Thus, the objective of this work was to analyze the use of chicken litter as a replacement for mineral fertilizer in wheat. The work took place in Bom Sucesso, Paraná, where a variety of wheat was evaluated in different types of fertilization. The treatments were: Witness; 2 tons per hectare of Chicken Bed; 1 ton per hectare of Chicken Bed; 3 tons per hectare of Chicken Bed; 250 kg per hectare of formulated 10-15-15. The chicken litter used in this experiment was obtained in the rural property, considering that it has a broiler farm. Each treatment was applied in a 5x5 plot, with 4 repetitions per treatment, and morphological and reproductive variables of wheat were evaluated via analysis of variance by the SISVAR software. The treatment that provided 3 tons per hectare of chicken litter emerged as an alternative to mineral fertilizer applied in treatment 5, given that it equaled the morphological characteristics of the plant when compared to treatment 5 and was more profitable to the producer. It is therefore concluded through this work that organic fertilization with chicken litter is an efficient alternative to reduce production costs with fertilization on wheat.
