Resumo: The Orchidaceae family is composed of herbaceous perennial plants with diverse morphology and are distributed throughout the globe and comprise one of the largest plant families. Thus, this study focused on the environmental percepition of maintainers Agroforestry Systems (AGS) along the oxbow river Mutuacá, Mazagan, Amapá. To collect data using the interview technique as a tool a previously designed and tested with open and closed questions form was used. The data showed that only açaí berry (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) was appointed cultivation in all AGS. Like this, all systems had identified as arboreal component of native trees in the Amazon system, except for the tree (Mangifera indica L.). It was observed that despite the wide distribution of orchids in the Amazon region, the maintainers do not have systematic knowledge about this group of plants. Therefore, it is understood that the work of environmental perception are very important for knowing and rescue the traditional knowledge of traditional communities. Keywords: orchids; environmental perception; botanic; agroforestry system.
