Resumo: Catasetum is the richest and most representative genus in species richness within the Catasetinae subtribe and has the Amazon biome as the center of diversity. Therefore, this work proposes a new species of Catasetum from the Nhamumdá River that forms the border between the States of Amazonas and Pará. This taxon is described, photographed and compared with C. saracataquerense, a species considered to be related. In addition, information regarding habitat, distribution and conservation status is also presented. Keywords: Biodiversity; igapó; Nhamundá River; Pará; taxonomy.

Este táxon é descrito, ilustrado fotograficamente e comparado com C. saracataquerense, espécie considerada como relacionada. Além disso, são descritas informações referentes ao habitat, distribuição e status de conservação.
