Resumo: | This study evaluated the fauna of metazoan parasites of Pygocentrus nattereri, Gymnotus carapo, Astyanax abramis and Astyanax sp. from the Fortaleza Igarapé basin (Amapá state), a tributary of the Amazon River in north Brazil. The four host species collected from October 2012 to April 2013 were parasitized by 14 metazoans taxa, and a total of 580 parasites were collected. Only Contracaecum sp. larvae were common to all examined hosts, Posthodiplostomum sp. metacercariae occurred in three host species, while Ergasilus sp. was found only in G. carapo. Monogeneans Urocleidoides affinis occurred only in A. abramis and Astyanax sp., while in P. nattereri were found other five species of monogeneas and G. carapo other three species of these ectoparasites. Therefore, there was a predominance of ectoparasites and between the endoparasites, the predominance was of larvae. This is the first report of these parasites for P. nattereri, G. carapo, A. abramis and Astyanax sp.Keywords: Amazon; helminthes; parasites; freshwater fish. |

Universidade Federal do AmapáBrito-Junior, Ivanildo AmanajásTavares-Dias, Marcos2018-06-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo Avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/362610.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v8n2p1-3Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 8, n. 2 (2018); 1-32179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPporhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/3626/v8n2p1-3.pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/downloadSuppFile/3626/548https://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/downloadSuppFile/3626/632AmapáDireitos autorais 2018 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2018-09-11T17:58:03Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3626Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2018-09-11T17:58:03Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false |
