Resumo: This study aimed to understand the floristic composition and structure of natural regeneration of trees of a lowland forest in the Extractive Reserve Chocoaré-Mato Grosso, Santarém Novo, Pará. Were demarcated 10 temporary plots of 10 x 100 m (1 ha) and established five size classes (CT) based on high and CAP to record the richness, frequency and relative density of individuals. Were recorded 33.738 individuals in 20 families, 48 genera and 53 species. Families with higher densities were Hypericaceae, Fabaceae and Arecaceae. The species with higher frequency and relative density were Symphonia globulifera L.f. (26.06%), Rheedia macrophylla (Mart.) Planch. Triana (11.83%), Inga alba (Sw.) Willd. (6.34%), Inga edulis Mart. (6.11%) and 91.6% individuals regeneration occurred in size class 1. The floristic richness is similar to other floodplain forests, however, the mechanisms of adaptation are strategies for dominance and quantitative representation of some species of the area for example Symphonia globulifera. Keywords: Richness; Size classes; Conservation Unity.

Universidade Federal do AmapáCNPqBatista, Fábio de JesusJardim, Mário Augusto Gonçalves2013-12-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo Avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/86510.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v3n3p139-145Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 3, n. 3 (2013); 139-1452179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPporhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/865/v3n3p139-145.pdfAmazônia; Pará, BrasilAtualDelineamento experimentalDireitos autorais 2013 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2016-04-14T14:52:14Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/865Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2016-04-14T14:52:14Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false
