Aging: Experience of the elderly in the family environment

Resumo: This study synthesizes the literary findings related to the daily interaction of elderly people who share the same home with their families. For this, an Integrative Literature Review was carried out in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), which considered the aging process in the family environment and the factors that contribute to such an event. Articles published in the period from 2016 to 2020 were included, resulting in 11 (eleven) articles related to the objective of the study. Data analysis resulted in the following thematic categories: family, care and professional monitoring. It was observed through these studies that the aging process requires a special look, and the elderly should be offered a better quality of life, through the comfort of family members and professional monitoring, guaranteeing and promoting their physical, psychological and social well-being.

Para ello, se realizó una Revisión Integrativa de la Literatura en las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), que consideró el proceso de envejecimiento en el entorno familiar y los factores que contribuyen a tal evento. Se incluyeron artículos publicados en el período de 2016 a 2020, resultando en 11 (once) artículos relacionados con el objetivo del estudio. El análisis de los datos dio como resultado las siguientes categorías temáticas: familia, cuidados y seguimiento profesional. A través de estos estudios se observó que el proceso de envejecimiento requiere una mirada especial, y se debe ofrecer a los ancianos una mejor calidad de vida, a través de la calidez de los familiares y el seguimiento profesional, asegurando y promoviendo su bienestar físico, psicológico y social.Este estudo sintetiza os achados literários referentes à interação no dia a dia de idosos que dividem o mesmo lar com seus familiares. Para isso, foi realizada uma Revisão Integrativa de Literatura, nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), que considerou o processo de envelhecimento no ambiente familiar e os fatores que contribuem para tal acontecimento. Incluíram-se artigos publicados no período compreendido entre os anos de 2016 a 2020, obtendo-se 11 (onze) artigos relacionados ao objetivo do estudo. A análise dos dados resultou nas seguintes categorias temáticas: família, cuidado e acompanhamento profissional.
