Summary: This study aims to report an experience of qualification of the university extension in the health area through contemporary teaching strategies. It is an experience report, descriptive and exploratory, with a qualitative approach. The field of study for the present study was a university extension course. It was in this thematic context in which the experience of applying two teaching strategies was inserted, being Brainstorming and the Case Study. Some difficulties were identified, such as the teacher's insecurity in using strategies in a differentiated teaching space, however, they were overcome in the sense that the strategies were well accepted by the class, generating the expected results for professional qualification.

Se trata de un relato de experiencia, descriptivo y exploratorio, con abordaje cualitativo. El campo de estudio para el presente trabajo fue un curso de extensión universitaria. En este contexto temático en que se insertó la experiencia de aplicación de dos estrategias de enseñanza, siendo ellas la Brainstorming y el Estudio de Caso. Se identificaron algunas dificultades, como la inseguridad del profesor en utilizar las estrategias en un espacio de enseñanza diferenciado, sin embargo, fueron superadas en el sentido que las estrategias fueron bien aceptadas por la clase, generando los resultados esperados para la calificación profesional.Este estudo possui como objetivo relatar uma experiência de qualificação da extensão universitária na área da saúde por meio de estratégias de ensino contemporâneas. Trata-se de um relato de experiência, descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa. O campo de estudo para o presente trabalho foi um curso de extensão universitária. Foi neste contexto temático em que se inseriu a experiência de aplicação de duas estratégias de ensino, sendo elas a Brainstorming e o Estudo de Caso.
