Integration between teaching and service in the practice of preceptorship

Resumo: | Objective: to demonstrate the perception of preceptors regarding the teaching-service integration in the execution of the preceptorship activity. Methodology: This is a qualitative, descriptive study, of the intervention type, in which the strategy of Permanent Education in Health was applied for the acquisition of knowledge about preceptorship. Eight preceptors were interviewed and the semi-structured interview was analyzed using the Bardin method. Results and Discussion: The preceptors reported that the integration between teaching and service occurs in a disjointed way. For the success of the preceptorship activity, planning should occur with the involvement of all, in a cohesive and agreed way. However, they realize that the preceptors themselves need to be more active and knowledgeable about their educational role in carrying out this activity. Conclusion: the existing fragility in the integration between the service and teaching, and the observation by preceptors of the need for them to be more active in this process, demonstrates the need to create new strategies that alleviate this situation. The educational meetings favored the discussion of the theme and the encouragement to search for an adequate integration between the service and teaching. This vision facilitates the search for the achievement of what is recommended by the National Curriculum Guidelines regarding training, and the correct use of the environment of the Unified Health System. |

Metodología: Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo, de tipo intervención, en el que se aplicó la estrategia de Educación Permanente en Salud para la adquisición de conocimientos sobre la preceptoría. Se entrevistó a ocho preceptores y se analizó la entrevista semiestructurada mediante el método de Bardin. Resultados y Discusión: Los preceptores relataron que la integración entre enseñanza y servicio ocurre de forma desarticulada. Para el éxito de la actividad de preceptoría, la planificación debe ocurrir con la participación de todos, de manera cohesiva y consensuada. Sin embargo, se dan cuenta de que los propios preceptores necesitan ser más activos y conocedores de su papel educativo en el desempeño de esta actividad. Conclusión: la fragilidad existente en la integración entre el servicio y la enseñanza, y la constatación por parte de los preceptores de la necesidad de que sean más activos en este proceso, demuestra la necesidad de crear nuevas estrategias que palien esa situación. Los encuentros educativos favorecieron la discusión del tema y el estímulo a la búsqueda de una adecuada integración entre el servicio y la enseñanza. Esta visión facilita la búsqueda del logro de lo recomendado por las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales en cuanto a la formación, y el uso correcto del entorno del Sistema Único de Salud.Objetivo: demonstrar a percepção de preceptores quanto a integração ensino-serviço na execução da atividade de preceptoria. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, do tipo intervenção, em que foi aplicado a estratégia da Educação Permanente em Saúde para a aquisição de conhecimento acerca da preceptoria. Oito preceptores foram entrevistados e a entrevista semiestruturada foi submetida a análise pelo método de Bardin. Resultados e Discussão: Os preceptores relataram que a integração entre o ensino e o serviço ocorre de maneira desarticulada. Para o sucesso da atividade da preceptoria, o planejamento deveria ocorrer com o envolvimento de todos, de forma coesa e pactuada. No entanto, percebem que os próprios preceptores precisam ser mais ativos e conhecedores do seu papel educacional na execução desta atividade. Conclusão: a fragilidade existente na integração entre o serviço e o ensino, e a constatação pelos preceptores da necessidade de serem mais ativos neste processo, demonstra a importância de se criar novas estratégias que amenizem esse quadro. Os encontros educacionais favoreceram a discussão da temática e o encorajamento para a busca de uma integração adequada entre o serviço e o ensino.
