Resumo: Objective: To describe the content and appearance validation process of a guideline for guidance to elderly caregivers in home enteral nutrition therapy (TNED). Method: Methodological study in four stages: approval by a research ethics committee, bibliographic survey, preparation of a booklet and validation by material specialists by specialists in the subject. Ten experts from the nutrition course at higher education institutions in Teresina - PI participated in the validation. The minimum Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.78 and the minimum agreement of 75% were considered for appearance validation. Results: The content and appearance of the booklet were validated with a CVI of 0.95 by the judges and an excellent level of agreement (80% - 100%), characterized as nutritionists, masters and / or doctors with expertise in health education and practical experience, research and publication in one of the study's areas of interest. The judges contributed with suggestions that were accepted to improve the booklet in its final version. Conclusion: The booklet was validated in content and appearance, constituting a relevant and easy to use instrument in health education actions carried out, especially by professionals from the Family Health Strategy with caregivers of elderly people in TNED.

Método: Estudio metodológico en cuatro etapas: aprobación por un comité de ética en investigación, levantamiento bibliográfico, elaboración de un cuadernillo y validación por especialistas en materiales por especialistas en la materia. En la validación participaron diez expertos del curso de nutrición de las instituciones de educación superior de Teresina - PI. El Índice de Validez de Contenido (IVC) mínimo de 0,78 y la concordancia mínima del 75% se consideraron para la validación de apariencia. Resultados: El contenido y apariencia del cuadernillo fueron validados con un CVI de 0.95 por los jueces y un excelente nivel de acuerdo (80% - 100%), caracterizados como nutricionistas, maestrías y / o médicos con especialización en educación para la salud y experiencia práctica, investigación y publicación en una de las áreas de interés del estudio. Los jueces contribuyeron con sugerencias que fueron aceptadas para mejorar el folleto en su versión final. Conclusión: El cuadernillo fue validado en contenido y apariencia, constituyéndose en un instrumento relevante y de fácil uso en las acciones de educación para la salud realizadas, especialmente por profesionales de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia con cuidadores de ancianos en TNED.Objetivo: Descrever processo de validação de conteúdo e aparência de uma cartilha de orientações para cuidadores de idosos em terapia nutricional enteral domiciliar (TNED). Método: Estudo metodológico em quatro etapas: aprovação em comitê de ética em pesquisa, levantamento bibliográfico, elaboração de cartilha e validação por especialistas do material por especialistas no assunto. Participaram da validação 10 especialistas do curso de nutrição das instituições de ensino superior de Teresina – PI. Considerou-se o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (IVC) mínimo de 0,78 e a concordância mínima de 75% para validação de aparência.   Resultados: O conteúdo e aparência da cartilha foram validados com IVC de 0,95 pelos juízes e nível de concordância excelente (80% - 100%), caracterizados como nutricionistas, mestres e/ou doutoras com atuação em educação em saúde e experiência prática, pesquisa e publicação em uma das áreas de interesse do estudo.  Os juízes contribuíram com sugestões que foram acatadas para melhorias da cartilha em sua versão final.
