Resumo: The determination of stocking density is an essential parameter for the species under cultivation, especially in intensive production systems such as net tanks. In order to evaluate the influence of stocking density on the development of lambari fingerlings (Astianax sp.), Created in net tanks in the Itaipu Binacional Hydroelectric Reservoir, 20,000 fingerlings (0.95 ± 0.49g) and length (3.94 ± 0.65cm), were distributed in 20 net tanks (1 m³) with five stocking densities (400, 700, 1000, 1300, and 1600 fish / m3) and four replications. The fish were fed twice a day (8 am and 5 pm) with micro-extruded feed (0.8 to 1.2 mm) containing 42% crude protein. The physical-chemical parameters of the water were recorded daily and biometrics were performed weekly to correct the amount of feed to the fish. An inversely proportional linear effect of the stocking density on the final weight was observed, and a linear effect directly proportional for the final biomass, feed consumption and apparent feed conversion. There were no influences (P <0.05) on the final length and survival. The density of 400 fish / m³, presents better final weight and apparent feed conversion, however, the density of 1600 fish / m³ improves the final biomass without compromising the survival of lambari fry stocked in small-volume net tanks.

Research, Society and Development2021-07-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/1707910.33448/rsd-v10i8.17079Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 No. 8; e6210817079Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 Núm. 8; e6210817079Research, Society and Development; v. 10 n. 8; e62108170792525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/17079/15235Copyright (c) 2021 Adilson Reidel; Celso Carlos Buglione Neto; Andre Luiz Watanabe; Kezia Nunes Souza; Hellen Krystiane Alves Ferreira; Anderson Coldebella; Arcangelo Augusto Signorhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessReidel, Adilson Neto, Celso Carlos BuglioneWatanabe, Andre LuizSouza, Kezia NunesFerreira, Hellen Krystiane Alves Coldebella, AndersonSignor, Arcangelo Augusto2021-08-21T18:46:59Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/17079Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:37:29.386598Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
