Consequences of diabetes on the quality of life of users from the perspective of health professional

Resumo: The present study aims to verify the impact of diabetes on the quality of life of users from the perspective of health professionals. This is a qualitative research, carried out with 14 health professionals who work with people with diabetes treated in primary care. Data collection was carried out from April to October 2015 through semi-structured interviews with the guiding question. When identifying the impairment of diabetes in the quality of life of users from the perspective of health professionals, it was identified that it can interfere negatively in the physical, psychological, social and environmental scope of people affected by diabetes. It is concluded that identifying the impairment of diabetes in the quality of life of users from the perspective of health professionals will enable the planning of health promotion actions and the prevention of complications of individuals with diabetes treated in primary care.

Esta es una investigación cualitativa, realizada con 14 profesionales de la salud que trabajan con personas con diabetes tratadas en atención primaria. La recopilación de datos se llevó a cabo de abril a octubre de 2015 a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas con la pregunta guía. Al identificar el deterioro de la diabetes en la calidad de vida de los usuarios desde la perspectiva de los profesionales de la salud, se identificó que puede interferir negativamente en el alcance físico, psicológico, social y ambiental de las personas afectadas por la diabetes. Se concluye que identificar el deterioro de la diabetes en la calidad de vida de los usuarios desde la perspectiva de los profesionales de la salud permitirá la planificación de acciones de promoción de la salud y la prevención de complicaciones de las personas con diabetes tratadas en atención primaria.O presente estudo tem como objetivo verificar o impacto do diabetes na qualidade vida dos usuários pela visão dos profissionais de saúde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizada com 14 profissionais de saúde que trabalham com pessoas com diabetes atendidas na atenção básica. A coleta de dados foi realizada no período de abril a outubro de 2015 por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Ao identificar o comprometimento do diabetes na qualidade de vida dos usuários na perspectiva de profissionais de saúde, identificou-se que pode interferir de forma negativa no âmbito físico, psicológico, social e ambiental das pessoas acometidas pelo diabetes.
