Child malnutrition and the relationship with breastfeeding: contribution of nursing

Resumo: Objective: To analyze nursing's contributions to child malnutrition associated with breastfeeding. Method: It encompasses an integrative literature review, a method that aims to analyze existing research and allows for an in-depth conclusion on a given topic. Results: eighteen articles were selected according to the theme, eighteen being national, fourteen different journals and published in the years 2017 to 2021. Conclusion: Malnutrition, absence or deficiency of vitamins or minerals, causes irreversible damage when they occur in the first year of life, in which early weaning is one of the factors for the cause of this problem. Nursing care, as well as the person responsible for the child, has a great role for healthy growth and development.

Método: Abarca una revisión integrativa de la literatura, un método que tiene como objetivo analizar la investigación existente y permite una conclusión profunda sobre un tema determinado. Resultados: Se seleccionaron dieciocho artículos según la temática, siendo dieciocho nacionales, catorce de revistas diferentes y publicados en los años 2017 a 2021.  Conclusión: La desnutrición, ausencia o deficiencia de vitaminas o minerales, provoca daños irreversibles cuando se presentan en el primer año de vida, en el que el destete precoz es uno de los factores causantes de este problema. El cuidado de enfermería, así como la persona responsable del niño, tiene un gran papel para un crecimiento y desarrollo saludable.Objetivo: Analisar as contribuições da Enfermagem diante da desnutrição infantil associada ao aleitamento materno. Método: Se abrange de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, um método que tem como objetivo análise de pesquisas existentes e permite realizar uma conclusão aprofundada sobre um determinado tema.  Resultados: Foram selecionados dezoito artigos de acordo com o tema, dezoito sendo nacionais, catorze periódicos diferentes e publicados nos anos de 2017 a 2021. Conclusão: A desnutrição, ausência ou deficiência de vitaminas ou minerais, causa danos irreversíveis quando ocorrem no primeiro ano de vida, na qual o desmame precoce é um dos fatores para a causa desse problema.
