Resumo: | Objective: To describe information from Brazilian television news about adverse events with nursing professionals and students posted on Youtube. Methodology: Documentary study with a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach with Brazilian television reports. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed using the thematic content framework. Results: Those involved were female, they worked in public hospital services, in the south and southeast of Brazil and the titles and summaries of the news blamed only Brazilian nursing. To better situate the object, two thematic categories were carried out, namely: I - Titles and brief summary of Brazilian television news about adverse events and II - Pronouncements of those involved in adverse events. Final Considerations: The news had superficial, sensational content, which blamed only the nursing involved and did not address the real problem about adverse events. As a way of preventing such incidents, it is necessary to understand the phenomenon and implement the patient safety core. |

Metodología: Estudio documental con abordaje cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio con reportajes de la televisión brasileña. Las entrevistas fueron transcritas y analizadas utilizando el marco de contenido temático. Resultados: Los involucrados eran mujeres, trabajaban en servicios hospitalarios públicos, en el sur y sureste de Brasil y los títulos y resúmenes de las noticias culpaban solo a la enfermería brasileña. Para ubicar mejor el objeto, fueron realizadas dos categorías temáticas, a saber: I - Títulos y breve resumen de noticias de la televisión brasileña sobre eventos adversos y II - Pronunciamientos de los involucrados en eventos adversos. Consideraciones Finales: La noticia tuvo un contenido superficial, sensacionalista, que responsabilizó solo a la enfermería involucrada y no abordó el problema real de los eventos adversos. Como forma de prevención de tales incidentes, es necesario comprender el fenómeno e implementar el núcleo de seguridad del paciente.Objetivo: Descrever as informações dos noticiamentos televisivos brasileiros, acerca dos eventos adversos com profissionais e estudantes de enfermagem postados no Youtube. Metodologia: Estudo documental de abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória com as reportagens televisivas brasileiras. As entrevistas foram transcritas e analisadas sobre o referencial de conteúdo temática. Resultados: Os envolvidos eram do sexo feminino, trabalhavam em serviços hospitalares públicos, na região sul e sudeste do Brasil e os títulos e resumos dos noticiamentos culpabilizavam apenas a enfermagem brasileira. Para melhor situar o objeto foram realizadas duas categorias temáticas, a saber: I - Títulos e breve resumo dos noticiamentos televisivos brasileiros acerca dos eventos adversos e II - Pronunciamentos dos envolvidos nos eventos adversos. Considerações Finais: Os noticiários eram de conteúdo superficiais, sensacionalistas, que culpabilizava apenas a enfermagem envolvida e não abordavam a real problemática acerca dos eventos adversos.
