Nursing Now in COVID-19 times: reflections for nurses and male nurses

Resumo: Objective: Contextualize through media records, the paths that cross between the nursing's valorization campaign Nursing Now and the pandemic COVID-19. Method: It is a reflective study, about the daily life of the Nursing Now valorization campaign and the pandemic COVID-19. Results: Different countries have been encouraged to contribute to the valorization of the nursing workforce and to encourage the protagonism process, even in times of global crisis. However, in the course of this global campaign, the life's these workers and all the world population has been crossed by a pandemic. This form, it is interesting to reflect that political, economic and gender issues continue to influence the training and professional performance. Morover, these crossings have been characterized by impermanence that reflect changes individuals and institutionals actions able of tensioning power relations. Conclusion: The experiences lived by nurses during the pandemic 2020 can contribute to describe the reality of the profession and to design actions of collective interests that attend processes of recognition and professional dignity. In the face of uncertainties, it should be noted that Nursing Now, in fact, needs to continue to be Nursing Now.

Método: Este es un estudio reflexivo sobre la vida cotidiana de la campaña de valorización de enfermería Nursing Now y la pandemia de COVID-19. Resultados: Se ha estimulado a los gobiernos de diferentes países a que contribuyan a la valorización de la fuerza de trabajo de enfermería y a que fomenten el proceso de protagonismo, incluso en tiempos de crisis global. Sin embargo, en el transcurso de esta campaña global, el camino de estos trabajadores y de toda la población mundial se ha cruzado por una pandemia. De esta forma, resulta interesante reflejar que las cuestiones políticas, económicas y de género siguen influyendo en la formación y el desempeño profesional. Sin embargo, estos cruces se han caracterizado por una impermanencia que refleja los cambios en las acciones individuales e institucionales capaces de tensar las relaciones de poder. Conclusión: Las experiencias vividas por las enfermeras durante la pandemia de 2020 pueden contribuir a describir la realidad de la profesión y a proyectar acciones de intereses colectivos que atiendan procesos de reconocimiento y dignidad profesional. Ante las incertidumbres, debe tenerse en cuenta que Nursing Now, de hecho, debe continuar Enfermería Ahora.Objetivo: Contextualizar por meio de registros midiáticos, os caminhos que se cruzam entre campanha de valorização da enfermagem Nursing Now e pandemia da COVID-19. Método: Trata-se de um estudo reflexivo, sobre o cotidiano da campanha de valorização da enfermagem NursingNow e pandemia da Ccovid-19. Resultados: No percurso de realização dessa campanha global o caminho destas(es) trabalhadoras(es) e de toda a população mundial tem sido cruzado por uma pandemia. Deste modo, torna-se interessante refletir que questões políticas, econômicas e de gênero prosseguem influenciando a formação e atuação profissional. No entanto, esses atravessamentos têm sido caracterizados por impermanência que refletem em mudanças de ações individuais e institucionais capazes de tensionar relações de poder. Conclusão: As experiências vivenciadas pelas enfermeiras e enfermeiros durante a pandemia de 2020 pode contribuir para descrever a realidade da profissão e projetar ações de interesses coletivos que atendam processos de reconhecimento e dignidade profissional.
