Factors associated with the non-use of condoms by brazilian adolescents: a systematic review

Resumo: Objective: to analyze the factors associated with the non-use of condoms by Brazilian adolescents. Methodology: This is a systematic review. Data collection took place in PubMed, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), through the Health Sciences Descriptors: “adolescents”, “condoms”, “sexually transmitted diseases”, “human immunodeficiency virus”, “HIV”, “Brazil”, “adolescent”, “condoms”, “Sexually Transmitted Diseases”, “Brazil” and registration terms. From these, 728 articles were found, being selected, after careful analysis, 27 studies. Results: the age range adopted was between 10 and 19 years old, with a sample ranging from a maximum of 100,962 to a minimum of 50 participants. With the main findings related to non-use of condoms, the following stand out: knowledge of correct use, lack of guidance, early sexual initiation, interference in pleasure, steady partner, having two or more sexual partners, being younger, low maternal and adolescent, lower socioeconomic level, having confidence in the partner, using alcohol, using licit or illicit drugs and being female. Conclusion: an identification of aspects of possibility of preservation for a broader view of reality and points of view of existing health policies and drivers associated with the vision of changing safer sexual behavior in changing sexual behavior and, consequently, promoting and reduction of health risks.

Metodología: Esta es una revisión sistemática. La recolección de datos se realizó en PubMed, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) y Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS), a través de los Descriptores de Ciencias de la Salud: “adolescentes”, “condones”, “enfermedades de transmisión sexual”, “inmunodeficiencia humana”. virus”, “VIH”, “Brasil”, “adolescente”, “preservativos”, “Enfermedades de Transmisión Sexual”, “Brasil” y términos de registro. De estos, se encontraron 728 artículos, siendo seleccionados, después de un análisis cuidadoso, 27 estudios. Resultados: el rango de edad adoptado fue entre 10 y 19 años, con una muestra que va desde un máximo de 100.962 hasta un mínimo de 50 participantes. Dentro de los principales hallazgos relacionados con el no uso del preservativo se destacan: conocimiento del uso correcto, falta de orientación, iniciación sexual temprana, interferencia en el placer, pareja estable, tener dos o más parejas sexuales, ser más joven, baja materna y adolescente, nivel socioeconómico bajo, tener confianza en la pareja, consumir alcohol, consumir drogas lícitas o ilícitas y ser mujer. Conclusión: una identificación de aspectos de posibilidad de preservación para una visión más amplia de la realidad y puntos de vista de las políticas de salud existentes y conductores asociados a la visión de cambio de comportamiento sexual más seguro en el cambio de comportamiento sexual y, en consecuencia, promoción y reducción de riesgos para la salud.Objetivo: analisar os fatores associados ao não uso da camisinha por adolescentes brasileiros. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática. A coleta de dados se deu nas bases PubMed, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), através dos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde: “adolescentes”, “preservativos”, “doenças sexualmente transmissíveis”, “vírus da imunodeficiência humana”, “HIV”, “Brasil”, “adolescent”, “condoms”, “Sexually Transmitted Diseases”, “Brazil” e termos de inscrição. A partir destes, foram encontrados 728 artigos, sendo selecionados, após análise criteriosa, 27 estudos. Resultados: o intervalo de idade adotado pelos estudos estava entre 10 e 19 anos, com amostra variando entre o máximo de 100.962 e mínimo de 50 participantes. Com relação aos principais achados relacionados ao não uso do preservativo, destacam-se os seguintes aspectos: desconhecimento do uso correto, falta de orientação, iniciação sexual precoce, interferência no prazer, possuir parceiro fixo, ter dois ou mais parceiros sexuais, ter menor idade, baixa escolaridade materna e dos adolescentes, menor nível socioeconômico, ter confiança no parceiro(a), usar álcool, usar drogas lícitas ou ilícitas e ser do sexo feminino.
